I am afflicted with fibromyalgia and it plays a large role in my livejournal.
My doctors believe that I was predisposed to fibromyalgia and that the proverbial switch was turned on following the trauma of a car accident which I have ptsd from. Unfortunately, science has yet to discover an off switch and I continue to suffer daily like millions of other people afflicted with this horrible condition. I try to maintain a positive attitude, but there are days when that is next to impossible. I am also bipolar and suffer from numerous back problems, including herniated and ruptured discs. And I have neuropathy so profound that I walk with a limp. I also suffer from osteoarthritis. Suffice to say that my lj can be a bit depressing. Still, I have good friends and I enjoy spending time with them and also try to focus on my many creative endeavors, so it's certainly not all gloom and doom around here.
